Earnest Charm LSE--SOLD

March 2016 bay colt by Ehrentanz KD *Pb*, out of California Girl. Earnest is now inspected, registered, and branded with the ISR on scores of 7.9's and 8's.

*We are pleased to be able to offer young horse boarding for Earnest at our second location in rural Mid-Missouri. This location features 120 acres of rolling hills, creeks, and other terrain to help a young horse develop properly.*

Earnest Charm is a charismatic colt with excellent conformation and powerful, swinging gaits. He is very willing, quiet, and trainable with a kind personality. He leads, hauls, stands for grooming, braiding, fly spray, and is working with baths and clippers. He stands well for the farrier, and had received a "good baby" discount at his check-up with the vet. He is desensitized to many noises, and is good with dogs and cats. He handled the inspection experience like a pro, behaving better than several adult horses there. He is very people-oriented, always coming up to the gate for attention, and is more apt to whinnying to humans than other horses. As we are a small breeder, Earnest has enjoyed individual attention and training that will enable his success in the future. His easy going, sweet, and confident nature would make him a delight for a professional, or an amateur to bring along.

His sire, Ehrentanz KD *Pb*, is an up and coming performance stallion by the Grand Prix jumper Hirtentanz (Axis) who holds the highest dual Jumping/Dressage index of any stallion in Germany at the time of his import to the US. Ehrentanz is out of Eiszeit, by E.H. Buddenbrock who has 187 offspring with earnings in sport, multiple Bendeschampionat offspring, and many internationally competitive offspring. Ehrentanz is quickly making a name for himself competing in the 6 and 7 year old jumper classes and Young Jumper Championships, while also securing a Reserve HOTY Title for 6 Year Old Jumpers of his region. Ehrentanz is also proving to be very competitive in his dressage outings, scoring 73% in First Level, and scoring 64% at his Second Level debut.

Earnest’s dam, a Thoroughbred, California Girl is purpose bred for sport, to excel in Dressage and Eventing. She scored 100 at her Mare Approval for ISR Oldenburg, with compliments from the inspector—“Very nice mare”. Cali has numerous close relatives that have been successful in both Dressage and Eventing, her most notable relatives include Balista (sire’s half-brother)—Pan Am Silver Medalist, Olympics in Athens and Madeline (dam’s side)—Four Star eventer, completed Rolex CCI****, Blenheim CCI***, and Fair Hill International CCI***. Cali herself, is trained through Second Level and will be campaigning in the next year. Clinicians love her natural ability to sit and carry, we love her laid back attitude and delightful personality, and her patience while teaching a reformed hunter rider how to ride dressage.

Earnest has just been weaned and doing great! Priced at $9500, negotiable to competition homes.
